Schools out for summer and it really is the best time to recruit an apprentice!
A number of things happen in schools at this time. 16 year old GCSE leavers will either decide to stay at school and work on A Levels, some will leave to go to a Further Education college and some will decide to leave school and look for an apprenticeship. The days of leaving school with nothing are over – no one can leave school without pursuing one of these options. 18 year old A Level leavers will also be leaving and will be looking to go to university or to enter the world of work and this is normally an apprenticeship.
Employers currently have a huge pool of talent to choose from. It’s July, school is over and decisions need to be made. Those that are go getters are applying for apprentice positions and employers need to be looking at them.
If employers are thinking about taking on an apprentice, now is the time. Leave it until September when the summer holidays are over and businesses are in danger of missing the best candidates.
We are currently interviewing daily – we have a huge amount of applications and if you are looking for an apprentice please get in touch and we can work with you to find your ideal candidate.
