First of all it is worth knowing what makes up an ICT Apprenticeship. The framework is – IT, Software, Web and Telecoms Professionals. This can be done at either Level 2 or Level 3 although most IT companies would expect any apprentice to work towards a Level 3 (Advanced Apprenticeships)
The framework is made up of:

If you don’t have GCSE ICT, Maths and English at grade C or above then you will have to complete Functional Skills in either Maths, English or IT.
Some providers will also offer additions accreditations. Our Yorkshire Apprentice learners also complete CompTIA A+ and CIW Web Foundations Associate.
When you are considering an IT apprenticeship, then think about your interests in IT – does it extend beyond playing on an Xbox? What software have you looked at recently, do you understand what WordPress does or Magento? What is the difference between MS SQL and MySQL? What is HTML5?
